For even greater performance, all glazing units are supplied argon-filled as standard. This inert gas reduces heat transfer through the glass, improving insulation, minimising condensation, and supporting long-term energy savings. For enhanced security, glazing can also be specified with laminated or toughened glass, providing increased resistance to impact and greater peace of mind.

You can have multiple panels, often up to six or more, depending on the system design and how the panels are configured. Regarding panel size, many systems offer panels up to 1,000 mm wide (some up to 1,200 mm) and heights up to 2,600‑3,000 mm, though pushing both width and height to maximum requires careful engineering.

Yes — high-quality aluminium bi‑fold doors typically incorporate robust security features such as multi‑point locking systems, hook‑bolts, reinforced profiles, and anti-lift mechanisms. Manufacturers often design them to meet or exceed standards like PAS 24 to resist forced entry.

Aluminium doors are relatively low maintenance. Occasional cleaning with a mild soapy solution is usually sufficient to keep frames and hardware in good condition.
