For even greater performance, all glazing units are supplied argon-filled as standard. This inert gas reduces heat transfer through the glass, improving insulation, minimising condensation, and supporting long-term energy savings. The result is a warmer, more comfortable living environment with lower heating costs.

For enhanced security, glazing can also be specified with laminated or toughened glass, providing increased resistance to impact and greater peace of mind.

To add a personal touch, we also offer Pilkington decorative glazing, enabling you to choose from a variety of textures and patterns that enhance the character of your doors while maintaining light and privacy. *Energy Rating show overall energy efficiency of the product. The entire window (the frame and the glass) is assessed to allow for heat loss, draughts and solar gain, giving a rating that indicates the overall impact of fitting that window in your home. 

*The R Value Measures resistance to heat gain or loss. Example, a typical insulated wall has an R-value anywhere from 12 to 19. 

*The U Value of the glass tells us heat loss through the glass, the glass edge and the frame. *The G Value of the glass tells us how well the glass transmits heat from the sun.

At UGS Ltd, our patio sliding doors are fitted with high-security multi-point hookbolt locking systems as standard. These locks engage at multiple points along the frame, offering strong resistance against forced entry and lifting. Additional features such as anti-lift devices, deadbolts, and shootbolts (commonly used in timber sliders) enhance overall security. All locking systems are compatible with key or thumb-turn cylinders, and meet leading UK standards including PAS 24 and Secured by Design for peace of mind.
