Crittall Doors & Partitions
Internal Heritage Design
The Interior Screening System offers a sleek, modern solution for dividing spaces while maintaining a sense of light and openness. Suitable for both residential and commercial interiors, Crittall-style partitions create defined areas without the need for solid walls, offering flexibility and style in equal measure.
Available as fixed screens, single or double hinged doors, pivot doors, and sliding systems, these units provide an effective acoustic barrier while retaining visual connection across spaces. The slim, elegant frames and high-quality construction ensure a refined finish that is durable, low-maintenance, and built to last.
At UGS Ltd, we supply and install Crittall doors and partitions in both standard and custom sizes, with options for different designs, openings, and glass specifications. This allows each installation to be tailored precisely to its setting, whether as part of a modern office, a stylish home interior, or a hospitality environment.
Every unit is backed by our 10-year manufacturing warranty, giving clients complete confidence in the quality and longevity of their investment. With their timeless appeal and adaptability, Crittall doors and partitions are the perfect way to combine functionality, acoustic performance, and contemporary design.
Special-purpose glass types
Material & Fire-Rated
Crittall-style doors and partitions are crafted from two primary materials — aluminium and steel — each offering unique benefits depending on design and performance requirements.
Aluminium: Known for its lightweight strength, aluminium allows for slim Heritage profiles, creating elegant, narrow sightlines that maximise light while delivering a refined, contemporary finish. Its natural resistance to corrosion also makes it durable and low maintenance, ideal for residential and commercial interiors.
Steel: Stronger and more robust than aluminium, steel is chosen where greater structural resilience is required. It is particularly well-suited to fire-rated and acoustic applications, ensuring safety and comfort without compromising style.
Sizes & Openings
Compliance & Standards
All Crittall-style doors and partitions supplied by UGS Ltd are designed and installed in line with UK Building Regulations and relevant British Standards, including:
BS 6262 – Glazing for buildings (covering selection, installation, and safety of glass).
Approved Document K – Protection from falling, collision and impact.
Approved Document B – Fire safety (where fire-rated glass is specified).
Panel sizes and configurations are subject to the limitations of the chosen system, glass type, and project requirements. As a guide, individual panels of up to 1.5m x 3m are commonly achievable, with larger spans created by combining multiple slim-profile panels.
Crittall Door Opening Options
Crittall-style doors and partitions come in a range of opening solutions to suit any space.
