Window Profiles

When choosing windows, the profile type plays a crucial role in both aesthetics and performance. At UGS Ltd, we offer a wide selection of standard and slim profiles, allowing you to find the perfect balance between design, functionality, and energy efficiency for your project.

Alt text

Standart

Offer a robust and traditional frame appearance, providing excellent insulation, durability, and support for larger glass panes. These profiles are ideal for those who prioritise structural integrity and maximum thermal performance. Standard profiles are typically more common and versatile, allowing for larger glass panes and providing excellent insulation. The wider frame also supports more customisation options in terms of materials and finishes. While they offer great structural support, they can sometimes reduce the amount of visible glass, which slightly affects the natural light entering your space.

alt text

Slim

Slim window profiles maximise the visible glass area by reducing the thickness of the frame, creating brighter interiors and uninterrupted views. This design is particularly valued in contemporary architecture where light, openness, and minimalist aesthetics are priorities. In addition to their elegant appearance, slim profiles provide reliable durability and modern performance, though they may not be available across all window materials or opening types. For tailored guidance on whether slim profiles suit your chosen style, please explore our dedicated window type and material pages for more detailed information.

Flush

Flush

Flush profile windows feature a sleek design where the sash sits neatly within the frame, creating a smooth, streamlined appearance. This mechanism not only enhances aesthetics but also improves insulation and security while reducing maintenance demands. Flush profiles are particularly popular for achieving a clean, contemporary look or replicating traditional timber finishes with modern benefits. However, they are not suitable for every window style or material type. To explore compatibility and discover the best options for your property, please visit our dedicated window type and material pages.

  • U value 1.2

Tripple glazing option

Argon filled glazing option

Argon Filled

  • Energy rating Improved
  • R value Up to 30% higher
  • U value Up to 25–30% lower
  • G value no signifficant affect

* Energy Rating show overall energy efficiency of the product. The entire window (the frame and the glass) is assessed to allow for heat loss, draughts and solar gain, giving a rating that indicates the overall impact of fitting that window in your home. *The R Value Measures resistance to heat gain or loss. Example, a typical insulated wall has an R-value anywhere from 12 to 19.

* The U Value of the glass tells us heat loss through the glass, the glass edge and the frame.

* The G Value of the glass tells us how well the glass transmits heat from the sun.

Double Glazing

A popular option, double glazing consists of two glass panes with a gap between them, which significantly reduces heat loss, helps with soundproofing, and enhances overall security.

Tripple Glazing

For even greater performance, triple glazing includes a third pane of glass, offering enhanced insulation, better soundproofing, and improved energy efficiency, making it ideal for colder climates or areas with high levels of external noise.

Benefits of Argon Gas Filling

Both our double and triple glazing units are filled with Argon gas, which is denser than air. This gas filling provides additional insulation by reducing heat transfer through the glass, helping to maintain a consistent temperature in your home.
