Fixed Flat Rooflights

Sleek and minimal in design, fixed flat rooflights are a modern solution for introducing daylight into rooms with flat or low-pitched roofs. With no visible internal framework, they create an uninterrupted view of the sky while maintaining excellent thermal insulation. Fixed units do not open, making them ideal for areas where ventilation is not required, such as stairwells, hallways, and open-plan living spaces that benefit from consistent, even natural light.

Opening Lanterns

Opening rooflights combine contemporary style with practical functionality, offering the same clean design as fixed models but with the option to ventilate. Available in manual, electric, or smart-controlled systems, these rooflights can be operated effortlessly for fresh air circulation and temperature control. Perfect for kitchens, bathrooms, or loft spaces, they enhance both comfort and air quality while maintaining high energy efficiency and weather resistance.

Modular Rooflights

Modular rooflights offer a flexible, scalable solution for larger or uniquely shaped spaces. Designed to fit seamlessly together, these multi-section systems can create expansive glass roofs that maximise daylight without compromising thermal performance. Each module can be configured as fixed or opening, allowing complete control over ventilation and layout. Commonly used in commercial buildings, atriums, and contemporary homes, modular rooflights combine versatility with architectural elegance.

Combine opening, fixed or walk on rooflights of all shapes and sizes to create huge, glazed areas designed to fit your build perfectly.

Circular Rooflights

Distinctive and contemporary, circular rooflights bring a design statement to any property. Their curved form offers a softer aesthetic compared to traditional rectangular glazing, distributing light evenly throughout the space. Available as fixed or hinged units, they provide the option for natural ventilation while maintaining high weather resistance. Ideal for modern homes, stairwells, and reception areas, circular rooflights add visual interest and sophistication to flat or pitched roofs.

The durable aluminium construction ensures long-lasting performance with minimal maintenance, while the thermally broken design prevents heat loss. Available in a range of finishes and opening or fixed configurations, aluminium lanterns are perfect for extensions, garden rooms, and orangeries, offering both elegance and energy efficiency.

Walkable Rooflights (Walk-On Glass)

Walkable rooflights, also known as walk-on glass panels, provide a safe, stylish way to bring natural light into lower floors or basement areas. Built with multi-layered, toughened laminated glass, they are engineered to withstand regular foot traffic while remaining completely secure and weatherproof. Ideal for roof terraces, balconies, or internal floors, walk-on glass combines architectural flair with functionality — transforming dark spaces below into bright, inviting environments.

Pitched Glass Skylights

Designed for sloped or pitched roofs, these skylights follow the roofline to allow maximum daylight penetration. The sleek glass surface enhances the roof’s aesthetic while maintaining superior insulation and weatherproofing. Available as fixed or opening systems (manual or electric), they’re ideal for loft conversions, stairwells, and upper floors where natural light and ventilation are key. Their seamless integration with traditional or modern roofing makes them a versatile choice.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Please note that the information provided here is subject to change. For the most up-to-date details, we recommend contacting our company directly.

A rooflight (or skylight) is typically a flat glazed window installed directly into a flat or pitched roof — either fixed or opening — to bring daylight into a room. A roof lantern, by contrast, is a raised, multi-pane glass structure (like a small glass roof) placed on a flat roof. It acts like a mini conservatory roof and brings in much more light, often from several angles, creating a striking architectural feature.

We offer a standard 10-year manufacturing warranty. If required by the contract, this warranty can be extended up to 25 years.

Yes, we are UKAS registered and certified via ASSURE UKAS certification. This is equivalent to FENSA certification, as FENSA is UKAS's internal certification, while ASSURE is the external certification. Both certifications hold the same validity.

In general, most standard rooflights are not designed for foot traffic — so you shouldn’t walk on them. If you want a “walk-on glass” or “walkable rooflight” feature, you’ll need a specific design built with robust, strengthened glass and engineered support to safely take the load.

For many domestic roofs in the UK, standard rooflights and lanterns fall under “permitted development,” meaning you don’t normally need planning permission. However, exceptions apply — for example if your property is listed, located in a conservation area, or if the installation substantially changes the roof structure or external appearance.

Yes — a well-specified rooflight or lantern can improve natural light, reducing the need for artificial lighting, which may lower electricity bills. If you choose an opening model, it can also help improve ventilation — useful in kitchens, bathrooms or loft conversions — helping regulate indoor air quality and temperature.
