Conservatories

You will love what we do!

A conservatory is a beautiful way to enhance your home — adding light, space, and character to your living environment. At UGS Ltd, we understand that a conservatory is far more than just an additional room; it enhances both the aesthetics and functionality of your home. By seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor living, a conservatory creates an open, inviting atmosphere that can be enjoyed all year round. Whether you dream of a cosy winter sunroom or a bright summer retreat, a well-designed conservatory allows you to make the most of every season.

We offer a wide range of conservatory styles, including Lean-to, Edwardian, Gable, T-shape, P-shape, and Victorian designs — each available in both standard and bespoke sizes. This ensures the perfect fit for your property’s architecture and your personal taste.

A thoughtfully designed conservatory also increases your property’s appeal and value on the housing market. Prospective buyers are often drawn to homes with this type of extension, recognising the benefit of a versatile, attractive living space. From a relaxed family area to an elegant dining room, a conservatory can serve a variety of purposes — enriching your everyday life while maximising your home’s resale potential.

At UGS Ltd, we specialise in the supply and installation of premium-quality conservatories crafted from uPVC, aluminium, and timber. Designed and manufactured in the UK and Europe, our conservatories meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and durability. We provide a standard ten-year warranty, which can be extended if required by the project.

In many cases, conservatories are considered permitted development and do not require planning permission. However, if your property is in a designated area or you plan to exceed size limits, you may need premission. We reccomend checking with your local planning authority for the guidance.

Often they are not required, provided the conservatory meets specific conditions (e.g., built at ground level, floor area under 30 m², separated from the main dwelling by external doors/windows). If it is used as a standard extension (with heating connected to the main house) or you remove the separating doors and walls, then building regulations WILL apply.

Yes — modern conservatories fitted with insulated bases, thermally efficient glazing and a suitable heating system can be enjoyed throughout the seasons.

It depends on your budget, how you intend to use the space and the direction it faces. A glass roof gives maximum light; a tiled or solid roof may offer better insulation and year-round comfort.

Yes — when well designed and built to high standards, a conservatory adds usable living space, enhances the look of the home and increases appeal to buyers.
